Tryst with collages
It’s not possible for me to stick to only one medium of expression. I’m always searching for the best-suitable medium for me to express myself. It’s this way that I started experimenting with the visual medium, especially collage.
As a writer, too, I prefer the collage pattern, as it reaches far closer to reality than other mediums.
When doing it visually, with images borrowed from others, it’s the same search to find out which makes what sense when put against another.
It lets me express some such feelings and thoughts that I cannot with the literary medium.
The process of making, the construction through destructions, magnets me towards the vast world of images and I get drowned inside that world, and remain there until I have successfully completed the entire piece and finally can avail a fresh breathe.
Being basically a story-teller, I try to tell stories even in collages. Different images, shades, imaginations, events and expressions—they all tell stories. It, however, is left on the viewer to connect the internal links and build the story accordingly.
